At XcelCrowd, we believe in being straight with you. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.

1. What We Collect

When you sign up or use XcelCrowd, we may collect:

• Your name and email address (college email only)

• Your profile info (resume, social links, skills)

• Submissions you make for builds (e.g., GitHub links, code)

• Basic usage data (pages visited, clicks, etc.) to improve the platform

We don't collect things like your passwords from other sites, your private code, or anything that's not relevant to the platform.

We use your data to:

• Create and maintain your account

• Match you with builds and opportunities

• Show your profile to companies (only after you choose to make it public)

• Improve XcelCrowd's performance and features

• Keep the platform safe and prevent misuse

• All data is stored securely in our database with proper encryption

• Passwords are hashed, we never store them in plain text

• Access to your data is limited to essential platform functions

We only share your info:

• With companies whose builds you submit to

• If required by law (rare, but we have to say it)

We never sell your data to advertisers or spam lists.

If we make big changes, we'll update the date above and let you know in advance.
